Text me at 8504490057 with the team you would like.
If you do not have a cell phone, go to google.com/voice and get a free number. You can text free from the website or you smart phone/ipod app. NO EMAILS WILL BE ACCEPTED
Everyone needs to link their number to the madden website.
You are expected to attempt to contact your opponent on the first day of advance. If you are contacted and cannot play yet, respond and let them know. When you don't respond it leads them to text me, then I have to text you so you can tell them you cannot play yet.
Possible penalties for violating rules will be, but are not limited to: warning, booting for game, games, season, lg permanently. Loss of draft pick(s)... Loss of certain player for game(s)...
Rule #1 Don't be an asshole
SETTINGS:
*ALL-Madden *8 Min Qtrs *20 sec accel clock if available. *Fatigue, Injuries, Weather, etc... Will all be ON as well. *Trading ON, but no CPU trades (Week 9 will be TRADING DEADLINE, week 9 is the deadline for filling a cpu team with a new member, to keep things simple)
Salary Cap and Madden 13
EVERY signing, release, trade has an effect on your salary cap, please read the detailed thread on the forum if you're not familiar with madden's cap. (sballers.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=164)
Trades will have to be approved by 3 trade mods before completing the trade.
*Each member is LIMITED to 3 trades per season. Each member is limited to 5 total proposals so do not make stupid requests. This may change later
GAME PLAY:
*Mix up your PLAY CALLING on both “O” and “D”...Don't call the same plays over and over. This also applies to just throwing to drag routes.
*Each team MUST have a minimum of 5 passes and 5 rushes per game. Passes to RB do not count as passes. Must have 5 pass attempts to a WR or TE... And also Runs w/ the QB do not count as Runs... Must have 5 rushing attempts with a RB or FB.
*MOTION-You may motion players, but you cannot snap the ball with a WR in motion. This allows an UNbumpable WR and is an AI glitch
*Running the ball- If you call an inside run and the hole is open, hit the hole. Bouncing every run to the outside is not allowed because it throws the AI off. If the hole is stuffed, by all means, bounce it wherever necessary
*KILLING CLOCK-Reserved for the last 2 minutes of the 1st half, and the last 2 minutes of the 4th Qtr... Nobody wants to play a boring game where a playing is killing clock in the 3rd Qtr. Don't dive down to kill clock when you could have scored. This isn't good sportsmanship and won't be tolerated.
*4th DOWN RULES
If u are inside the 50 yard line and its 4th and 1 or greater - U MUST PUNT THE BALL...
4th and 1 past the 50, outside field goal range, you can go for it unless up by 14 or more. If you're up by 8 or more in FG range you must kick the FG. If it is 4th and 2 you CANNOT go for the conversion!!!
If you're losing in the third quarter by 14 or more, the punt restriction is lifted. Meaning it doesnt have to be 4th and 1 past the 50yd line
If you're losing in the 4th quarter, the punt restriction is lifted. UNLESS you are down by 3 and in FG range, then you must take the FG.
*OVERTIME-you can ONLY go for a 4th down if you are at the 50 or opposing side of the field, and you have 4th and 2 or less. Otherwise you MUST punt or kick a FG.
*FAKE PUNT/FG's-These should be used sparingly.
*Blocking Field Goals- the AI is too easy to glitch so there will be no user controlled players for field goal blocks. Let the CPU do all th work.
*ONSIDE KICKS- To be used in 4th qt when losing.
*NO HUDDLE- Do not over do this. No huddle every drive is a no go.
*RUSHING THE QB-3 Defenders MUST be “RUSHING” the QB at all times. “Spy” is NOT a rusher...”Contain” is considered a rusher
*DEPTH CHART- Do not throw your best receiver into the #3 spot on the depth chart. Your first two WR on depth chart should be two highest rated on ur team. If the overall is within two points they can be out of order. Also do not put your HB as a WR unless it is in the number 5 slot on depth chart. TE can be no4 on depth. PRESET FORMATIONS that have players out of place are ok. That being said, dont come out in the formation that puts your no1 in the slot every third down.
*As for POSITION SWITCHING the following positions are interchangeable:
~FS/SS/CB ~OLB/MLB ~DT/DE ~OT/OG/C
~WR/TE (TE may not be higher than 4th on Depth Chart)
~WR/RB (RB may not be higher than 5th on Depth Chart)
~RB/FB (RB playing FB MUST be 89 speed or lower)
~TE/FB (TE playing FB MUST be 89 speed or lower)
*QB DROP BACK-QB's can only drop back 10 yards FROM THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE at all times. You should only scramble AFTER you make your reads and no one is open or you receive immediate pressure from the defense.
If your TE is the leading WR on your team, something is wrong.
*KICK RETURNS- Do not take control of blockers on kick returns. This includes pulling an extra man back on punt returns.
You can only manually move (joystick move) 1 player that rushes the QB - U can shift as many pass rushers u want using the `shift` system with L1 or R1... Players that manually move more than 1 player that pass rush the QB, are trying to confuse the A.I. Of the Offensive Line to create a nano blitz. You cannot manually push a safety below the linebackers. Or circle your linebacker around prensnap to try to get a jump on snap
This also includes FAKE BLITZING. If you fake blitz a LB or safety and then drop into coverage, you 're exploiting the AI because it doesn't realize you've dropped back and keeps trying to block that player. You MAY use the DE in coverage, IF you audible him into coverage first and keep him on th eline until the ball is snapped, don't forget, you must have 3 players rushing the qb. To verify he has been audibled, he should run backwards on the snap, not on a rush.
*GOALINE “O”-can only be used if 3 or less yards are to go for the 1st down, OR you are at or inside your opponents 10 yard line.
*Rocket catches will not be tolerated.
Don’t call the same plays over and over. You have an entire playbook, use it. If you’re running the same money play to convert every 3rd down you’re wrong. This also includes only throwing to your TE or HB and not using your receivers.
*2 POINT CONVERSIONS-May ONLY be used in the 2nd half, and ONLY to make deficit/lead 3, 7, 10, or 14.
COMMON COURTESY:
*PLAY w/ CLASS-If you're up by 21 or more and have the ball in the 4th Qtr, Run the ball... Running up the score will not be tolerated in these lg's. You may pass the ball ONLY ON THIRD DOWN, in the 4th quarter if you are up by 21 you must run all downs. Running for a TD in 4th is one thing, but passing for TD's when up big in 4th will not be tolerated.
If u are away for 32+ consecutive hours - your opponent has the right to request a CPU game - u will be temporarily dropped from the lg - so your opponent can play the CPU - this allows a player who is available to play his scheduled game to minimize his exposure to potential simulated losses - when u r temporarily dropped u r expected to rejoin ASAP or lose you spot in the league.
If you schedule a game with another player you are expected to be on at the time agreed. If you cannot be there try to let your opponent know ahead of time. If your opponent does not show for a scheduled game and isn't responding to you, text me. If he does not respond to me he will be dropped. Repeat violators will be banned.
*GAME DISCO's-If a game is disconnected for any reason, it must be RECREATED to the same score, time, possession, etc... UNLESS BOTH parties agree to a restart, or unless game is decided already in 2nd half, then you can count the game... Never count a close game unless losing team says its ok. Use common sense on this and communicate with your opponent. If you cannot come to an agreement consult your LG Commish and their decision will be final.
*QUITTING-If you feel your opponent is breaking the rules tell him. If he does not reply, tell the commish. DO NOT QUIT out of rage. If the player wont comply w the commish you will be told to quit. If the game is a complete blowout and you wish to CONCEDE DEFEAT you must ask your opponent first. If he agrees you may quit and he will count the game
*As for playing the CPU each member is allowed 2 TS and 2 TS ONLY... So if a key injury happens, or the game isn't going your way, or your disconnected for any reason, you may restart the game 1 time, therefore giving you 2 TS. At that point it is your LAST chance to finish that game. If anything happens AGAIN, you may quit the game, and take your chances on a simmed game. A game against the CPU will never be 3 TS or higher or you will be suspended for one game.
If someone is cheating or doing anything against the rules either save an in game replay, or take video with a cell phone of the replay and send it to me. To save an in game replay go to game stats after the game is over and you can save highlights. They will show up on the league site. If I do not have physical proof all I can do is take your complaint into consideration.
This is a SIM LEAGUE, if it’s not something that a coach would do in real life, then do not do it in this league. At the same time, just becasue tebow runs all day in the NFL, doesn't mean we do it here.
These rules are meant to keep the game as realistic and fun as possible. If you don't like the rules, DO NOT JOIN. This may seem like a lot of stupid rules, but each rule has been made because it's something a previous owner has done.
